I've fished the Cornish rivers for nearly 50 years, mainly flyfishing but have never ventured to catch a Grayling. As they prefer alkaline water I imagine many of our rivers aren't suitable but I've heard the rivers nearer Devon may hold Grayling, does anyone know where I can fish for Grayling in Cornwall?

Heard last year of a river that's part of the Liskeard and District AC waters that evidently does contain grayling. Not sure which one but worth contacting the club/secretary to ask. I was told it can only be fished by wading and not from the bank, but that might not be the case depending on casting ability etc. Hope this helps, other than that I've never heard of grayling being fished for in Cornwall. Tamar river and tribs are the closest I know of. Liskeard and District AC may have a bit of one of those... Inny?

I have caught Grayling on The Lyd which is just into Devon. The Inny is your best and probs only bet for grayling in Cornwall.
